Several times a week, someone will ask me, "how do you find time to blog while working full-time?"  Clearly, there will never be enough hours in the day! But for me, this creative outlet is a welcome and extremely rewarding project - it's great to work on something in my free time that is entirely my own thing, to have the opportunity to meet so many wonderful women and develop friendships with them, to connect with amazing readers and fellow bloggers over the internet and in person(!), to work with brands and companies I would have never dreamed to partner with... When I reflect on all the experiences, the time and work related to the blog is inconsequential!

Besides, I'm pretty sure that I function better when I'm busy AT ALL TIMES. :)  Are you the same way?

  10. Hahaha I get asked that too :) I work part time running my own business with 2 kids ( wait 3 including my husband) and barely have time for myself.....but when I do I agree blogging is an outlet for me to indulge in fashion which is one of my passions. I find a way I guess with lots of help but wish there was more time during the day.

  25. I completely agree with what you said about your blog and working full time. I have a very demanding job but am sure to make time for my blog every day because it is that creative outlet I don't get at work. It also provides a fun social outlet in making friends all around the country and the world! Who would have thought that one little blog could bring so much joy :)

    Great post!

And don't think I forgot to talk about your outfit...LOVE THIS! Your coat looks so comfy. I also like the bit of animal print on your shoes.

  57. My life is non-busy, entirely by design and I am really proud of that. Even here in New Zealand, things can be manic (I live in our largest city, Auckland). Several years ago I decided I was happier with very few social events and a small circle of friends. Love your blog, Anh.

  58. I feel the same way! As long as I continue to love the work I do, I'll continue to have my busy life. I'm career-driven too and blogging does eat up time, but it's so fun it's worth it. Long time fan of your blog. Just started mine. :)

  59. I agree - the busier I am, the more I get done and the better I perform -
Having too much time on my hands tends to lead to inactivity...one can only spend so many hours looking at puppy videos online...

Better to have a packed agenda and hone your time management skills - and then enjoy all of the achievements and productivity you're able to realize.

  71. I don't get asked - I ask myself "how can I find time to blog?!?!" I always get frustrated when there is so much to do and I cant squeeze in time to blog. I'm a project manager so you'd think I should better manage my time. Well not with all the adhoc and urgent right now things at work :( But everytime I post a new one, it feels soooo good, I do a little "yay" smile and a silent clap :)
Oh and you're making me want to get that burgundy purse so bad, must resist!

  72. I've wanted to ask you that too! It's hard to do in Vancouver because the sun sets by 4pm. Do you take your photos first thing in the morning? How many hours of sleep do you get a night?

I'm so impressed and inspired by your ability to succeed as a professional in your field while running a blog that's just as professional! Share more tips please!
