Blouse - Zara
Leather jacket - thanks to All Saints (here)
Purse - Celine
We're in the midst of an office move at my workplace - and thank goodness for that! It was certainly time to sort through all of my old files and weed out the clutter. A cleanse of sorts. ;)
Til now my work office has been pretty bare and without much personality. I'm looking forward to changing that this time around so I'd love to hear your thoughts! What special items have you brought to your office to make it feel a little more like home?

Hmmm.. well, i keep couple sand dollars I keep on my desk desk. so not much..
ReplyDeleteI should get flowers (plastic only, because our work does not allow us real flowers - spilling on the keyboard)
cool jacket!

I usually have a couple of photos of friends & bf on my corkboard. Sometimes even little notes from friends. Nice to have a slight personal touch at work.

Love this outfit- classy and comfy are two of my favourite c words! And why don't you put favourite photos up, either of people or places you want to go or scenes that inspire you? And if all else fails, a cute little throw pillow for your chair is always a fun touch!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the move!

ReplyDeleteAhhhh your outfit looks fantastic as usual! :D I love your button up Zara blouse! In my office I have 2 large square sized cork boards with photos of my family, friends, and inspirational quotes! I also put up photos of scenic places I'd like to visit in the near future like Hawaii or the Swiss Alps. Keeps my morale up when I have too much work to do! ^^'' I also love to display drawings my little sisters have drawn and it makes my space a little more colorful!

i really like offices with white/light colored furniture... add a rug to make it special! of course place some pictures and flowers/plants would be nice too...! how fun! i love redecorating smaller rooms like that! :)
ReplyDeletelove the blouse!
I found that adding curtains, a rug, and a table lamp did wonders; when there's sun coming through the window, I don't even turn on the overhead fluorescents. I just turn on the little table lamp.
ReplyDeleteSimple and chic, love this look! Your Zara blouse is phenom.

I agree with the commenter that suggested fresh flowers, that always brightens up a room. My mom bought me a long-lasting one for my college dorm room and it made such a huge difference in making the room feel personal and cozy.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I noticed that in your last 2 posts you've been wearing flats, and I LOVE it. I find it so refreshing when fashion bloggers aren't wearing heels all the time.
I love this look...stunning! I am loving printed blouses right now, SO adorable! I am your newest follower...hope you'll check out my blog and follow back if you enjoy!

I love your style- so simple and chic! In my office, I have framed artwork, a stylish vase where I keep flowers, modern office supplies/containers, a lucite table lamp, and a vintage inspired corkboard where I keep pictures of my 2 year old son- as well as framed pictures of my boyfriend. I find that using a color scheme adds character as well, so my colors are red, black and silver. I also have cute throw pillows for my chair. It make my office space so cozy, since I am here more than I am at home!
ReplyDeleteA comfy pillow for back support (and the occasional deskside nap). LOVE those jcrew flats!

I'm working on updating my office space too: my strategy is pretty plants and a colorful corkboard!
ReplyDeletelawmoda.blogspot.com
I never did flowers or plants because the office could get pretty hot on the weekends when the building was not running air. But framed art from a museum, a personal lamp and an area rug if your office is big enough are great personal touches. I also had a few toys on my desk for nervous energy, a paperweight, pretty in/out boxes, a pretty fabric covered box for paper clips. The little things go a long way.
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love fun and girly post it notes and notepads :)
ReplyDeletekatiesbliss.com
You need a plant! A living creature(plant), some photographs, maybe a little something fun (like from Think Geek). Also, color! Grab some color paper and personalize it with photos, drawings, stickers, clothing tags. A small mirror is always a good touch too, it helps you pay attention your posture and facial expressions.
ReplyDeleteI loved your bag!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI just posted looks from Los Angeles and the Hollywood Farmers Market, take a look:

I like to keep a few succulents on my desk. they add a zen vibe to an otherwise chaotic work environment. plus you don't have to water them!
ReplyDeleteIm also currently new in the office. Last weekend, went shopping at Muji!!! I love white in general so i got all-white stuff! Drawers, folder cases, ballpens and mechanical pencils, pencil holders all in white! Can't wait to bring all of them and start setting up my table!:)

A jar of chocolates would be great to have for times in need =D
ReplyDeleteA few photos of the people you love. Sometimes when things get hectic or seem lost, all you need to calm you down is a picture that takes you back to a loved memory.
ReplyDeleteNote: I said a FEW pictures. Your office is your thinking space - avoid clutter.
Hope this helps.
I have a wall decall as a art work, a magnetic board w some pics, a dry-erase board for quick notes, a cute water bottle and a cute mug, since im always sipping water and coffee i wanted something nice and in the color scheme. cecilia
