A couple of new swimsuits for the summer (the one on the right accompanied me to Palm Springs recently) and now all that's needed is sunshine and warmth.  Or another vacation. ;)

Over the next few weeks, I'll be sharing some outfit shots taken by Hannah Suh.  We spent a few hours on a lovely Saturday afternoon trekking around town with Hannah and feeling like she was working her magic on us.  Love her easygoing nature and we are so thrilled by the DVD of photos we received!  Thank you Hannah!! <3

Had my then-fiance-now-husband and I taken engagement photos before we got married, this is one of the looks I would have envisioned wearing.  Total. All-out. Girly.  Hannah captured it beautifully!  (And that last photo, no doubt, is going to be framed).

In love with my BesoBeso bracelets and will exploit any reason to wear them.  Sunday's reason was pretty simple - it matched my ensemble of a perfectly comfortable, boxy Lamixx tee (with fitted sleeves - that's key!), a go-to pair of Alainn Bella cargo skinnies and my mom's beautiful scarf.  I'm trying to convince her that she doesn't need it in San Diego, and that conveniently applies to the two vintage jackets I borrowed this past winter as well... :)

I'm happy to see that my calendar has me in SF the next couple of weeks (barring any last minute emergency trips), and that the weather report is showing 10 days of sunny (albeit low 60s) weather.  What are you happy about this Monday morning?

I've been hopelessly drawn to slouchy knits lately.  Not surprisingly, it didn't take long for me to jump on this new one from Alainn Bella - it's by the same brand of my favorite boyfriend sweater, worn here and here (and many, many, many more times unseen on the blog!).

Just got back from Cincy yesterday and today I'm off to Orlando - travel essentials from yesterday's post still in tow!  And now a few of you ladies have me yearning for noise-reduction headphones...!!! ;)

A striking view from above, although not quite as majestic as the shot I took here.  Thank you for all of your well wishes during this busy travel work week for me!  I often get asked how I do it.  To be honest, I’m not quite sure – I just do...but certainly not without my travel must-haves (and I must give credit where credit is due):

•  A luxurious, fuzzy and silk charmeuse-lined eye mask (much like the one Blair wears on Gossip Girl) – I got mine here from BibBon on Etsy and I plan to place several more orders as back-up.

• A 4-wheeler suitcase.  My favorite is a Tumi Tech 19” hard case scored on Gilt.  The slickest wheels in the airport!

• A most unfashionable Columbia fleece zip-up emblazoned with my company’s logo – it keeps me warmest on cold airplanes and is just as easy to roll up into a ball in the aforementioned suitcase.

With great friends in town over the weekend and a bevy of fun outings to participate in (Bay2Breakers being one of them!), I've hardly had a chance to recharge my batteries before jumping straight into the workweek!  And this one promises to be an interesting one - I'll be clocking in more than 25 hours in the air before Friday ends.  (And unfortunately, it doesn't involve an exotic vacation halfway around the world.)   

Not counting airport time.

And no, I wish I were exaggerating. :)

Another outfit from my Palm Springs getaway last week.  I'm beyond thrilled that a couple of my favorite bloggers, Jean and Dylana recently posted similar outfits too, each with their own unique and lovely spin on it.  This is why I heart the blog world.  :)

Today I'm off to a give a presentation at a pretty major conference - suffice it to say I'm a little out of my league here!  But. Giving it my all, regardless, cuz that's what I do.  That's all anyone can do, right? :)

Many of my fellow Blogger-using blog friends know that Blogger was down for a day - and then it decided to eat many of our posts.  Luckily, I'm missing just one (from Thursday) and I'm waiting patiently for a Google Blogger fairy godmother to come fix it. ;)

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to stop by Covet Boutique in Hayes Valley - a cute little store in SF stocked full of beautiful handmade OFINA jewelry.  Loving these two pieces!  (Thank you Liza and Cecile!)

It was definitely a shock to the system to be back in the office - it's no wonder the hubby and I promptly booked our next weeklong getaway as soon as we got back. ;)  Reality set in so we aren't actually going until later this year but it helps to know that a beach is indeed awaiting us, however far away it is!

Palm Springs

I had a pool vacation.  Meaning: I sat by or in the pool for 4 days straight (mostly under a big, big umbrella), and it was WONDERFUL! I had never spent time in Palm Springs before and in May, it's a guaranteed 90+ degrees.  An ideal reason to hop on the one hour flight.

The last 5 days involved:

• Not one, not two, but three breakfasts at Cheeky's.  It's that good, really.  Try the Huevos Rancheros and you will not be disappointed.
• Exploring the Riviera Palm Springs hotel.  We're not sure what to say about the hotel, it's a mixed bag of opinions on any number of things.
• A meal and shopping at the outlets with my parents (they drove up to see us!) <3
• Starbucks, every day. Without fail.  
• and a whole lot of bikini time.

Not surprisingly, our trip consisted of the pool and meals.  Just the vacation essentials. :)
