Maui Photo Diary

Photos by me.  Wore my Lanvin for H&M dress, Giuseppe Zanotti heels, Madewell necklace, CC Skye & H&M rings to the wedding.

Just a handful of photos, in no particular order, of my 72-hour Maui experience with Joanna, Kristine and Christine.  During this trip, I enjoyed:

• beach days at the Grand Wailea and in Kihei
• Lava flows (favorite Hawaiian drinks, ever!), Mai Tais, champagne toasts, mango mojitos and maybe a vodka on the rocks.  Make that an affirmative.
• spa day at the Grand Wailea (best spa, ever!  soaked & relaxed in all kinds of amazing baths and soaks plus a luxurious facial and body scrub!)
• mahi mahi's several times over, crusted in every which way possible
• pool day doing all of the things you did as a child, but loving it more than ever as an adult: tarzan swings, waterslides, lazy rivers and swim-up bars all day long (ok, so the latter was never enjoyed as a child!)
  
• snorkeling and seeing a STINGRAY up close and personal (too close for comfort?! amazing nonetheless)
• witnessing a sweet beachside wedding ceremony alongside a small, intimate group of friends and family.  Serene and beautiful!

Congratulations to my friends C & J, wishing you both all the best in love, life and companionship.  <3

A very simple work outfit.  For something like this I usually throw on my trench coat before running out the door... and then count down the minutes til I'm enjoying my morning coffee ;) 

I've flown to Maui and back in the last 4 days and can't wait to share a few pics.  It was amazing - the wedding, the beaches, the spa, the pool (and it goes on!).  Will be posting more about it soon but suffice it to say, I'm wishing I never left!!!  Maui tends to have that effect, don't you agree? :)

I bought these $39 pants on Saturday and wore them on Sunday.  Typical. ;)

Sunday's morning rain cleared up quickly and it turned into a beautiful, albeit windy, day.  We took the dogs up to the Fairmont where we looked at beautiful classic cars (the annual Mille Miglia event), had our standard coffee in the square and strolled around until we fell upon a suitable lunch place.  More on our delicious find later!

Harpers Bazaar & Estee Lauder Photo Diary

My photo diary covering 24 hours from last week and it already feels like ages ago!

• First set:  Gorgeous London NYC Hotel.  Biggest rooms in NYC I've seen yet and I would be thrilled if I could stay here again!
• Second set:  Lunch at the Gordon Ramsey restaurant in the hotel.  Simply mouthwatering. 
• Third set:  Getting ready in the big suite.  Hair by the Bumble and Bumble team, makeup by the Estee Lauder team, styling by the Harper's Bazaar team.  Felt like a bona fide princess!
• Fourth set:  I was too busy enjoying myself (and pinching myself - wasn't sure this was all really happening) to take photographs during the event itself.  The styling team dressed me in a Diane von Furstenberg dress & Casadei heels (want these soooo badly!).

During the evening event, I spotted Coco Rocha and a bevy of other gorgeous models, shook hands with the Estee Lauder executives and family, chatted with Editor in Chief Glenda Bailey, shared the stage with Elizabeth Hurley for 0.25 seconds and spent time catching up with my special guest, Lindsey.  A longtime friend and the best person to enjoy the evening with! <3

I may have said this before, but I was so honored to be among the ladies they selected this year - they were all so inspiring!  I was always referred to as "the youngest" and it was a reminder of all of the experiences to look forward to & accomplishments to pursue.

I love the message Harper's Bazaar and Estee Lauder passed along during this event - ladies, it's true, we're all fabulous at every age.  :)

Something New: Oscar de la Renta Heels

Always a sucker for a black pump, I squealed with delight when I opened the box shipped by my parents.  See the fun tassels at the heel?  Oh so sassy! 

I'm almost in disbelief that it's Thursday already (and seriously relieved too!).  This week I've enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Boulevard with Katy, happy hour/dinner at Chaya with Victoria and I took a quick stroll around Union Square and picked up a gorgeous dress from H&M.  All this in addition to an incredibly exciting, busy work week.  New product, new clinical data, new health economics data, new presentations, new trainings to take to the field for our reps...  And all of that means more travel!

And it necessitates more coffee - my Starbucks double shot caramel macchiatos don't seem to be strong enough anymore! ;)

Look number two for Lands' End's Nautical Style for Spring with my new Mavi cropped boyfriend jeans from Alainn Bella (perfect for those casual Sundays)!  Regarding the fit for the striped shirt: I have the XS, and it definitely has a roomier cut. I love the thickness of the material, it's a nice departure from the striped shirt I wore over and over last Summer. :)

The workweek is underway and I'm so glad I'm up for the challenge!  Last weekend was exactly what I needed - got my fill of sleep, Ton Kiang dim sum, sea bass from The House, savory pho from Out the Door and outdoor Peruvian brunch at Fresca in the Fillmore (which involved a long walk to/from with the dogs!).  And a breakfast of Fruit Loops.  Perfection!  A relaxing weekend always helps recharge the batteries!

A few things:

• Saturdays are the best when Friday's lights-out occurs at 10:30pm.  After a solid work & play week, it was a miracle I lasted that long!
• Looking forward to my friend's wedding in Wailea, Maui.  And the hubby made a huge mistake by opting out of this one so it's an all girls weekend for me! [insert evil laugh here]
• This mint-colored tee from Alainn Bella is another Spring/Summer add to my wardrobe and it's happiness-inducing.
