Red & Pink, Round 2

An outfit that's almost identical to this one worn back in April, but this time with a button-up for a day at the office followed by a blogger event at Neiman Marcus' Rotunda.

There are two things I would consider work-wear workhorses: button-up blouses (preferably soft and silky, not cotton or satin) and just-above-the-knee pencil skirts.  When I scour designer sale racks and stores like Nordstrom Rack, Loehmann's and Jeremy's (San Francisco) these are the pieces that tend to catch my eye and, for a working gal like me, they are typically well worth the investment!

Thanks for visiting and happy Monday!

  1. you are so right about the silk and soft button downs vs. starched cotton ones, there is a huge difference...one makes you look stiff and office like..the other is more carefree yet still refined...love it

  9. Looking great as usual. The tan trend cape looks very nice with the whole color combo. I feel like I copy your look. This past week I purchased the leather Theory shorts like the one you have bc the deal was too good to let it pass me by:) and I love it.

  10. I love how you don't shy away from bold colors but you always find a way to temper it down so it's not overwhelming. It's very inspiring.

  13. Jeremy's is amazing! It's right across from my school, so I used to drop by there during my lunch breaks :)

I love the red and pink combo! This one is a bit more Fall weather friendly than the one you wore in April, but I am crazy about both outfits!

  29. It's a tough decision where I would want to work when I gorw up, somewhere, where I can dress up like this (I absolutely love the last pic with reds in the street poles and the sign and your reds) or a job where I can wear smth more casual.
