  1. I absolutely cannot live without the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer! I've tried other ones but it always irritates my face. I also love my Bare Escentuals but I might give your Bobby Brown a try. Thanks for sharing!

  6. I always have a surplus of MAC's Painterly Paint Pot. I use it as a primer for my eyeshadow. It changed my life. MAC brushes are awesome as well. Quick question, have you ever used Bare Escentuals? If so, did you like them better than Bobbi Brown?

  7. Love seeing what you use- you always look amazing! My HG products at the moment are Benefit Eye Bright pencil (for pinkish glow under the eye) and Maybelline falsies mascara.

  8. My HG product is Chanel Mascara. It doesn't smudge on me. And my Nars Sheer Glow foundation just love it.

  9. So many new products to try!!!

Lu - I used Bare Escentuals (happily) for several years before making the switch to Bobbi Brown. I love the way my skin looks and feels with the cream foundation, it has made a major difference, especially in pictures!!

  10. great post Anh!

My favorite product is Revlon color stay eyeliner, I haven't found a better liquid one yet!

  11. I really like your make up colors, Anh! They look so well on you.

I love Bobbi Brown's blushes. They're the best for Asian skin tones. For skin, Giorgio Armani's Face Fabric Second Skin does wonders. It feels like velvet, and you won't need to put on anything else for the entire day.

  13. I love the Olay moisturizer as well! My mom uses it too. Seems to be a favorite of many :)

Thanks for doing this post. Your makeup always looks flawless so its nice to see the products you use.

  14. I'm super oily so that Olay moisturizer makes me look like I just got home from the gym (even though I dont go to gyms). hahaha.

I agree with Caro. Too faced shadow insurance is my HG. can't put on shadow w/o it.

Someday, I will be able to afford Chanel quad shadow.

  15. I am in love with Chanel's quad shadows ~ but my holy grail product has got to be Bobbi Brown's Creme Visage Hydratante, or, Hydrating Face Cream ;) It's the perfect moisturizer for these Chicago winters...

I love this idea to share favorite beauty products ~ there are a lot of bad products out there, but a lot of great ones as well. Perhaps I steal this idea and share mine with a Chicago-twist? :)

    Hope all is well!

  19. what do you use to apply your bobbi brown cream foundation?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hi michelle! I use Bobbi Brown's foundation brush (the first brush pictured above). I had never used creme foundation previously, so it was a change at first and it felt like I was "painting" my face everyday. Definitely worth it! =)

  21. I use Bobbie Brown's Tinted Moisturizer, Nars Lipgloss in Babe, Tarte Lock & Roll eyeshadow, and Bobbie Brown's Long Wear Gel eyeliner (best thing eve!).
Thanks for sharing your make up favorites with us. It's such a fun post.

  22. I am also a huge fan of Smashbox's Light Primer! I used to use the regular one, and during the recent Sephora FF sale picked up the light instead, and like it so much more!

  24. great post! you know i share a love for the bb peony blush :) it's the best!

i never thought to try BB face products----maybe one day :)

  25. I hope all the ladies use spf every day!!

I recently switched over to using Neutrogena's dry-touch sunblock in spf 55 every morning. I have combination skin, and find that this does not break me out. I used to use Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer, but found without powder I was too shiny, and it could have possibly been causing some pimples for me.

As for tools...I know this is not very green friendly of me, but I like to use disposable sponges to apply my spf then foundation. One sponge will last me between two to three days, so I am not being too wasteful. :p

  26. great to know! you have such flawless skin that i've always wondered what you use. def want to try that blush!

  27. My HG products:
    Eve Peal Salmon concealer
    Make UP Forever HD Foundation

  28. Oil of Olay moisturizer is such a staple! My mom used it growing up too!

Le Blanc de Chanel primer is my favourite!
Dior Blackout mascara is something I can't live without

I've also been using Bare Escentuals for two years now, but I think I'm ready to try something new...so I'll be sure to check out the Bobbi Brown counter

  29. My go-to products that I never change are:

Foundation: Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation - the BEST product ever. I swear I've tried every foundation and this is the one I swear by. It's amazing.

Concealer: YSL Touche Eclat - amazing for under eyes especially

Mascara - I'm a recent convert to DiorShow Mascara - the best one I've ever used!

    What a great post!!

  30. I am not blessed with easy going skin and perfect skin like others so I am still trying to figure out what works best for me.
    - I used Laura Mercier before and I am not too crazy about
    - I tried some very expensive skin care, LaMer, Chanel, Sisley and they all did me nothing but harm and required a visit to a dermatologist, expensive medicine from the Dr. to fix the issue i didn't have before I try these products.
    - I have tried Surge Lutens make up from Barney, soooooo expensive and it is good, but not worth the $200 for small compact of powder that other product would do the same trick for less. When I used Surge Lutens, I feel like $300-$400 is flying out of my bank every couple of months for powder and blush. So I switch to Bare Escentuals and I feel that it does the same trick for much less.

For now I am still trying to figure out the best skin care for my skin stype, I am oily in some places and dry in some places.

  31. @Fabulous Fashion Finds

I have super oily skin, and sometimes dry areas as well! It might not hurt to try Bobbi Brown - my dermatologist recommended it over the Bare Essentuals I had been using... my skin reacted very well to the creamy foundation!

  32. Awesome post!!
    My HG products are:
Philosophy- the present, clear make up
Laura Mercier- oil free foundation vanilla beige
    Laura Mercier secret concealer 3
    Tarte bronzer- hotel hairess
    Lorac blush- desire
Vincent longo- crystal coral ( I think it may be discontinued, but if ur in NYC, go to Henry Bendel, they can custom make a product for you, just bring a bit of original. They do a great job.
Recently found and love- chanel- rouge allue laque 76

P.S. I have had a prob. with oily skin and occasional break outs for years. Before my wedding a make up artist told me about this site: acne.org, said it worked wonders for her. I ordered a small package and now I can't live without it.

Another great site is more of a skin care, but their healing cream is amazing and eye cream is pretty great too. http://www.mariobadescu.com/healing-cream
