Weekend Wear: Knits & Florals

Knit capelet - Zara
Floral dress - H&M
Olive tights - Zara
Heels - Proenza Schouler
Purse - Chanel

Finally, something to satisfy my craving for a cape-like frock! Easy to throw over just about anything, this knitted and cropped version is sufficiently warm enough for the transitional weather we're experiencing.  The dress was a must-buy at just $14.95 - that it happened to be in fall florals with romantic chiffon ruffles was icing on the cake.

And, if you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen that I finally threw on my olive tights.  Olive tights might have been a good idea theoretically...But I can't help feeling one of two things when they're worn during the day:
  1. I'm a green alien with green alien legs, OR
  2. I'm Robin Hood, "we're men, we're men in tights..."
Perhaps I'll let you decide one day when they star in my next daytime outfit post.  =)

  1. But those are such a deep, rich shade of green. I think they look great. If they were brighter like a kelly green, then it might be a different story. :)

  2. I love the idea of playing with different colored tights. It adds depth to an outfit. And I love the way this cape lays over the dresses ruffles. Perfection!

  15. I love your ability to rewear items and make them with each outfit. It shows that you buy what you love and you make it work in your wardrobe.

And I don't think you could ever look like robin Hood, or men in tights.

  18. 1- I love the dress
    2- as a consequence of 1 , I need to visit H and M
3- You look completely stunning in last pic
4- Colored tights leave me on the fence. I admire the way they transform the most conservative looks in trendy outfits ...BUT, hubby killed it this week end as a gorgeous girl just walks the street in front of us and he said : "why is she wearing mustard tights , it's so Ugly?"...
