The Goods

Nikon D90 DSLR, here or here.
Camera goods, that is!  I've gotten a lot of requests for camera information lately.  Coincidentally around the time we started using this new camera!  For the last several months we had been playing around with my dad's Canon EOS 1D (a mega-camera that had far too much gadgetry for us).  Thanks Dad!!  After much research, we finally decided to get our own DSLR - this Nikon D90.   It has been so much fun to play around with!  Definitely worth the splurge, although not much of a splurge compared to all the other options for professional grade DSLR cameras out there.

In the camera bag:
  • Nikon D90
  • Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens
  • Nikon Nikkor 18-200mm lens
  • 4 GB Memory card
*Tip:  Amazon and B&H Photo have been great online retailers for camera gear in our experience, but stay away from ButterflyPhoto!

  2. That camera is amazing. My Dad let me "borrow" his camera which is a Nikon D70 and I love it. I rarely use it because the setting is complicated for me to figure out (especially when I am taking my own photos with the remote). Most of the time, the picture are blurry but I do like the camera a lot. Great purchase!

  5. Awesome! Congrats on the purchase. We're planning to upgrade to a DSLR soon (finally!), but I'm loyal to Canon so we're sticking with them :). Have fun with it!

  9. Hi! I'm looking at buying a Digital SLR myself. Is this model good as a transition from point and shoot cameras?
