Dress worn as a top - Banana Republic
Skirt - BCBG
Necklace - Madewell
Trench - Burberry
To illustrate how far a skirt can take me, here are the many ways I've worn it:
- here, on a rainy day with a pretty umbrella
- here, as a complement to black lace
- here, striped out and vested
- here, with a leopard scarf
- here, in a palette of pale tones
- here, to go see Wicked
- here, with my new trench coat
I'm so very thankful that it's Friday - it's been a long work-filled week! The weekend plans in this household? None, yet, and that is perfectly fine with me. As of next weekend, we are going non-stop until November(!!!) So much to look forward to, so much excitement!
What are your weekend plans?

Super cute outfit! I love it! You have inspired me so much with your trench coat that I am going to check one out this morning at Banana Republic. I checked the forcast this morning. We are having 100 degree temps compared to your 68 degrees. Soooo jealous (even though I know you want to trade ;)
ReplyDeleteGoing to dinner tonight with my husband and then meeting friends for dessert and drinks at the Chocolate Bar for a friend's 30th birthday! I am working 6am-11am both Saturday and Sunday. But we are celebrating my son's 2nd birthday Saturday! Growing up so fast! Hope you have a great weekend!
I just recently found your blog and I love your style! I'll have to say I'm still learning with my style and how to create looks good for me, but I love your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWe are remodeling a house right now... yeah, that pretty much consumes every waking moment for the next month or so!! =)
I love this "mini archive" where you link back to all the ways an item has been worn! And I think your new trench almost single-handedly pushed me to start my trench quest early this year.
ReplyDeleteNicole G - The Banana trenches are great!! I was seriously eyeing one as well before I got this one as a surprise! Your weekend sounds like so much fun - happy birthday to your son!!!!
ReplyDeleteLeah - Thank you so much!! Remodeling does not sound like fun, but selecting the details, colors, cabinets, fixtures...THAT SOUNDS LIKE FUN!!!!
PetiteAsianGirl - I've been following your quest! I love that you give such in depth reviews. Good luck and I'm so sure you will find THE ONE soon!!! =)
A staple like that BCBG skirt can be worn time and time again, and that's what makes it so great! I love items that go with everything!
ReplyDeleteI love that skirt so much! I'm going to be on the hunt for a similar one this weekend. I'm going to Oregon this weekend to visit my family and there is definitely going to be a shopping trip or two on the agenda!

ReplyDeleteIt's definitely great to have pieces in your wardrobe that you can style in different ways. That skirt is a keeper and will last you for seasons to come. :)
