Wearing Now: Black Out

Silk blouse - ADAM by Adam Lippes
Trousers - J.Crew
Heels - Proenza Schouler
Necklaces - Madewell & J.Crew

Good morning and happy Monday!  I'm back from Toronto and it was lovely (but let's be honest I didn't get a chance to see much).  On my one free evening I briefly walked around Yorkville and dined at ONE Restaurant.  I managed about 5 hours of sleep each night (5am mornings and evening events until 11pm...) and desperately need to catch up on pillow time!!

As for the outfit - this silk boxy blouse feels so effortless and easy.  To avoid complicating things I kept it monotonous in all black and jumped into these Proenzas (they haven't gotten much love lately!).

  1. I like all black and the metallic on the Proenzas add some interest for sure. So I FINALLY found the vintage shop you spoke of...there are lots of them along Newbury st but this was the only one between Newb & Boylston so I knew it had to be the one. Unfortunately no finds for me because the selection was too overwhelming!

Do you wear your mega heels commuting to work? Or change into flats? I've always been curious, because here women always commute in flip flops or flats.

  4. awww.. too bad you didn't get to enjoy Toronto :) But I hope you'll be able to catch up on some sleep!

I love the monochromatic outfit. It's elegant but still looks comfortable. And YAY for the PS pumps making a comeback. I missed them!

  5. LOVE the shoes. The metallic on the fronts makes them pop. They certainly deserve more love :)

Love all your looks! I know what you mean about wanting to be fashionable but professional. I just graduated law school and while working in court I tried to find the (few) ways I could spice up an outfit while remaining professional. It sure isn't easy!

  6. I love this! The black looks so summery because of the cropped pants and the sleeves on the top. So very chic and effortlessly cool!
