Something New: Anniversary Present

Present from my hubby

Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments over the weekend!!!  We celebrated our 1st anniversary on Friday evening with a delectable dinner at Gary Danko (where we had celebrated our 1st dating anniversary).  We feasted on champagne, fois gras, branzini, duck breast, lobster, lamb shoulder, cheeses (omygoodness the cheese!!!), and three different, all amazing, desserts.  The take-home was a tasty pineapple-blueberry muffin for breakfast the next morning:


As for the present in the khaki colored box?  My hubby surprised me with this beauty:

A classic meant to last forever, an investment that will definitely prove worthwhile (especially in SF!).  I absolutely LOVE it!!!  My hubby had spent so much time researching trench coats and the many styles that Burberry offered.  So sweet & and I am one very, very lucky girl. 

...and then we made sure to remind each other that not all anniversaries will be this expensive!  =)  =)

  1. WOW Congratulations again on celebrating your first! :) That's a wonderful gift, can't wait to see you in it. We went all out celebrating our first anniversary too. The last two kind of passed us by really quickly so even though not every anniversary will be expensive, make sure you do something special so it doesn't become "just another day" ;)

  7. *Jealousy* Can't wait to see this one in an outfit post. Congrats again on the one year and boy does your hubby have good taste. Were you completely surprised? I can't believe he did all that research on his own!

    This weekend while shopping my own dear bf awkwardly asked "so...which was the Chanel bag you were saving for again?" I suspiciously showed him...cross my fingers that he's thinking along the lines of your husband!

  10. OMG...I can't wait to see it *ON*! Every time I see a Burberry trench, I drool a little. That includes the babies I have in my closet, who only get to see the light of day a few times a year because I live in sunny sunny sunny LA...(stupid 70 degree weather....>_< )

    The streets of SF are going to get a whole lot more stylish! =)

  12. Happy first wedding anniversary! That's a great gift! Our first date anniversary is coming up and we make a pretty big deal out of it. I've lived in SF for a long time now, and still haven't been to Gary Danko. Hope you had a lovely celebration!

  16. Congrats!!! I loove Gary Danko, sounds like you guys had a great 1st anniversary! Sooo sweet of hubby to get you the coat, the most impressive part is him paying attention and knowing you've been wanting a Burberry trench and doing all that research. Brownie points!
