Wearing Now: Vintage Silk Escada Blouse

Blouse - Escada, vintage find
Skirt - Missoni
Belt - Miu Miu
Necklaces - Madewell & J.Crew layered
Heels - Christian Louboutin
Purse - Chanel

I found this top in Boston at a cute little vintage-thrift store along one of the cross streets between Newbury and Boylston.  They had amazing vintage jewelry but in the end it was this flowery silk blouse that came home with me.  It's a bit big but it's in impeccable condition.  I'm thinking of altering the sleeves so that I don't have to worry about rolling them up each time I wear it and today I actually have safety pins securing them in place!

Happy Wednesday!

  1. So pretty! Love that flower print. Although it's vintage it still maintains a modern (maybe timeless?) feel.

  3. That top was a great find, it looks very nice on you.
Safety pins!!! Good idea! I'm wearing a thrifted dress today and rolled up the sleeves to make it look less matronly. That would be good to keep them up. I want to shorten them to elbow-length, but I'm not sure that would be possible.

  4. Love the outfit, as usual! I think tailoring the sleeves would be a great idea and give the look an even more polished look to it.

  8. Gorgeous Anh! I agree, I think the sleeves should be shortened especially because the blouse is flowing (it looks great like that) and would help keep it from overwhelming you.

  9. I actually think the rolled sleeves almost make the outfit. Without them, it would look too streamlined; this adds some visual interest to the silhouette. That said, they are slightly bigger than they should be, so maybe the tailor could build in a cuffed sleeve?

  10. Gorgeous as always. I agree the top seems like it might be a bit too big, but you styled it perfectly with the belt/skirt. Love it!
