How to: The Twisted Belt Thing

I've received a lot of reader requests for a "twisted-belt-thing" tutorial and I am finally getting to it!  Sorry for the delay - and hope it helps!  *Note - it works best with an extra long skinny belt!

{1} Start your belt like you normally do.

{2} Use the belt loop

{3} Tuck the end of the belt under the strap.

{4} Slip it under and pull it up toward you, leaving some slack.

{5} Holding the end of the belt, prepare to send it through the loop you've just created with the slack.

{6} Send it through the loop.

{7} Adjust the slack as needed to make the loop even.

 {8} That's it folks!

  1. haha... Nice, thanks! Because of you, I've been playing around a lot more with my belts and have done them a few ways. I have to admit, though-- the first time I tried it, it took me like 15 minutes just to get something that didn't look like a hot mess. :)

  4. I love doing this for flexible skinny belts. I have to punch extra holes in my waist belts so the loose end is especially long and floppy!

  5. LOL...I always fiddle with my too long belts, and end up doing this by accident, but then can never remember how to do it again. I might have to bookmark this for next time. =)

  14. Just wanted to say I did the twisted belt thing this weekend and it was the perfect solution to a too long belt loop! So thank you for that. Alos, when I came to your page to follow the tutorial, I did a double take because I had the same belt on from UO!
