I can see how the length might be a bit off for the petite girls (I'm 5'8" without heels and it hits right at the knee. Unfortunately the cross-body detail makes hemming out of the question (at least to my amateur eyes). The fabric was also reviewed as "cheap," but I think it's perfectly light for spring and summer. Also, I chose to stick with the XS although I ordered both the XS and S just in case.
And a few shots with more practical "errand-running" flats:
Dress - Jean Paul Gaultier for Target
Belt - Urban Outfitters
Necklace - Banana Republic
Jacket - H&M
Heels - Forever21
Flats - Elie Tahari
Purse - Chanel
Hope you're having a lovely weekend!

so cute, but i'm big sucker for nautical anything... thank you for the review about not being for the shortyshort girls (bummer)... I don't think I realized you were as tall as you are!
ReplyDeletelooks lovely... and please share some sunshine with the East Coast - pretty please!
it's adorable on you!! I'm just waiting for Zac Posen but the one your wearing is hard to pass up...
ReplyDeleteYou really know how to make nautical stripes work, and love the pairing of this dress with the f21 heels. What is it about f21 uncomfortable heels that seem so appealing in theory?

This looks SO good on you, definitely the sleeper hit. I saw some of the other JPG items IRL and they were fug. So you definitely made the right choice with this--looks fabulous on you!
ReplyDeleteThis dress looks GREAT on you, but I think it would make me look frumpy & like an oompah loompah as I'm only 5'3". Btw, I absolutely LOVE your Elie Tahari flats! I've been searching for classic style & good quality work flats for ages! Do you mind if I ask where you purchased them, or if they are still for sale in stores?
ReplyDeleteThat's such a cute dress on you Anh! It pairs so well with the flats & heels, and I love the belt detail you added. Love the H&M military coat, I have the same one in plum. Can't wait to see the coats you scored in lookbooks!
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies!!!
ReplyDeletelibbeh - I bought them at Bloomingdales a little while ago, but did see the same style in new colors this season!
awesome dress love target! cant beat it!
ReplyDeleteI love it on you, Anh! And the necklace + shoes you paired it with. It's casual, sure, but still pretty-pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing, I'm loving the nautical trend best for s/s... And those ballet flats are beautiful :) xxx
ReplyDeleteThat dress looks great on you! If I wore it (i'm 5'2) I would look invisible!
ReplyDeleteI love this look Anh! I love how you pair black with camel/tan tones...looks awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteAfter I saw your post, I really wanted it. But then it wouldn't have worked because I'm only 4"11. :(
