- Don't wear pants. Who wants to get the hem of their pants wet, especially when the wetness runs upward?
- Put on the rain boots. I wear my rain boots out and change shoes once I'm in the office. Plus it makes it more likely that I'll walk to work (rather than cabbing it). Did I tell you I work 11 blocks from my home? Granted, they are large city blocks so it's actually a mile. So when I don't take a cab (oh goddd the cab fares I pay yearly........), I walk. In flats. With heels in hand.
- When it's absolutely dreadful, just cab it. My umbrella is a big, lovely reliable thing, but when the wind is blowing hard enough to pick me up and the rain is going sideways into my face...I am not walking. Period.
- Stay dark, or cover up in dark. I don't like certain colors and fabrics that show wetness (think gray when it's wet...). Best to stick with simple black! Or, wear a black coat and shed that layer when you're in safety.

ReplyDeleteGreat heels! I love buying shoes from Forever 21, so inexpensive!
ReplyDeleteThat's the one and only thing I don't miss about city living - slushing around in bad weather. I like my car as much as my shoes.
ReplyDeleteCute blouse! I am a fan of Theory clothes -- many of my button-down shirts are from Theory.
ReplyDeleteI also agree about not wearing pants when raining. When the weather is bad (rain or snow) I wear a skirt and heavier tights, and put my rain or snow boots on and change into work-appropriate shoes in my office. I actually keep a few pairs of heels in my office so I don't even need to commute with them.
Hi Anh, Great outfit as usual! The belt are shoes are adorable! I'm glad to know you carry your heels in hand and wear flats to work (I can't last that long in heels either). In Japan, I was amazed the girls wear heels anytime..all the time!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day at work!
Btw..I like your hair up in the last picture with the outfit. =)
ReplyDeleteI love that belt with that skirt.
ReplyDeleteAnd i like the way you tie your ponytail! How do you get the volume in the back?
Is it creepy if I comment on every post?
ReplyDeleteJust wondering if it's starting to make you nervous that I exclaim my love for you and your style day after day ;)
Eeek! I love this whole look. Mixing tans (warm tans, that is, like you did) with black is one of my favorite things, and this whole outfit is just screaming perfection and loveliness. *sighs happily*
ReplyDeleteThank you ladies!!!
ReplyDeletedeconstruction - I wish I could leave a few pairs of shoes in the office, I have some sort of OCD fear that I'll NEED that pair, like right THIS INSTANT.
jacqueline - I have definitely head of the girls in Japan and their awesome ability to spend all day everyday in sky high heels! I walk downhill to work, so it will never happen.
phi style - it's my 2-second hairdo. I tie it up, lift at the top and tighten, lift and tighten. Sounds like arm exercises or something ha!
andi - never creepy, I heart you back x928347.
chloe - I'm sighing doubly in happiness, thanks for the kind words =)
